Peace in Action: A Community Gun Violence Prevention Resource Fair

This event is being organized by the local chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America as well as The Finer Foundation of Florida, Inc. Peace in Action is an opportunity for organizations to educate local families and community members about their services and to network with one another. A wide range of organizations will be participating, including, for example, mental health services, after-school recreational and tutoring programs, youth mentoring programs, and job placement services. In addition, there will be a dedicated space for survivors of gun violence to come together, share their experiences, and offer support to one another. The Children’s Trust of Alachua County is sponsoring the fair. The event will also include food, entertainment, and door prizes.
